Q:
How do I sign up?
A: Print the
registration form (one per student), fill it
out, and sign it. Checks are payable to
GoodSwimmer.com. Course fees are $50 per student per
course. Print and read the
pool rules form. Registration is Saturday,
March 21, 2020 at 10:00 AM at our
home. Please call 801-451-9141 if
you have questions.
Q:
Do
parents need to be at the classes?
A: No, but you are welcome to
attend.
Q:
When
do we pay?
A: Please send a check asap to
secure your spot in the school. Make checks
payable to GoodSwimmer.com and send to the
address on the contact us
tab. Payment must be received by Saturday, March
21, 2020 at 1:00 PM.
Q: What if
I don't know what level my child is?
A: Place the child in the class
with his/her same age group. If we feel he/she
is too advanced for the class, we'll move
him/her up a level. Same goes for the child who
is in his/her age group but the class is a bit
too hard. We'll move them down a level.
Q: How old should my child be
to start lessons?
A: Infant and toddler aquatic
programs provide an opportunity to introduce
young children to the joy of being in or around
water. Generally, children are not
developmentally ready for swimming lessons until
after their 4th birthday.
Q:
What
is the class schedule for this year?
A: Click the class schedules
link on the home page or just click
here.
Q: Where do we park?
A: We prefer that you drop your
child off at the front of the house (on 650 East) and
then run an errand. If necessary you can park in
our driveway. If the driveway is full please
park at Windridge Elementary (just around the
corner) and walk back to the pool. Children can be
picked up at the front of our home as well. We,
along with our neighbors, really appreciate your
cooperation with this. This makes traffic
driving through smoother. It also helps keep the
streets safe for the kids. Please drive slowing
and watch for pedestrians.
Q: Do we
come to the front door?
A: Please go to the gate on the
south side of the house (along 1200 South) and
follow the sidewalk to the pool. There is plenty
of seating on the deck so make yourself at home
until your lesson time.
Q: What if
it's raining?
A: Class continues in light
rain, unless there is threat of lightening and
thunder. If that's the case we'll have class
indoors for one day and cover pool/water safety.
After the first day of rain we'll then arrange
for make-up classes on the following Friday and
Saturday.
Q:
What if
my child can't make it for a class?
A: There are no make-up days or
refunds. If there is room in another class we
could try to work something out.
Q: What is
the cost?
A: Learn to Swim and Preschool
Aquatics are $50 per course per child. Boy Scout
merit badge courses are $25 per boy.
Q:
What's the dress code?
A: Although it is not a
requirement, we recommend that girls wear
one-piece swimsuits. It is strongly recommended
that swimmers in Learn to Swim Levels 3 and
greater bring a pair of swim goggles.
Swim diapers and the kids that
wear them just can't be in the pool.
Q: I lost
my...
A: We have a lost & found bin
on the pool deck next to the basement walkout.
Feel free to rummage through the bin to find
your lost item. We will donate any remaining items
to good will a week after the end of the season.
